I'm pretty sure people have mentioned this before, but if you're storing a car, make sure to tell your insurance company. I'm putting my 135is in storage tomorrow, so I called USAA to update my policy. My monthly premium is now $62 less. Which doesn't quite cover the cost of the storage unit, but it helps.

I called my insurance to tell them my motorcycle is going to be in storage for a while (tabs and worn chain.) $20 off my current insurance premium of $40 (I only have to pay $20.)

I pay my premium in 3 month chunks, and had one due a week before my car went to storage. I was told that payment will cover the next 6 or so months, so score. Sadly that's only two months of storage.
